Summary:
OSHA is "the main federal agency charged with the enforcement of safety and health legislation". OSHA covers a broad range of workplace safety and health standards including exposure limits to dangerous air toxins. Restrictions / Exposure Limits:

OSHA adopts PEL values – Permissible Exposure Limits

CO – 50 ppmv, 8 hour time weighted average
CO2 – 5000 ppmv, 8 hour time weighted average
HCHO – 0.75 ppmv, 8 hour time weighted average
NO – 25 ppmv, 8 hour time weighted average
NO2 – 5 ppmv, ceiling value (cannot be exceeded)
SO2 – 5 ppmv, 8 hour time weighted average
